Hellen Faulkner, owner of HZP+Co®, a high quality skincare business, is proud to call the Bay her home. With a business ethos of only using native, natural ingredients, HZP+Co® creates beneficial high-end skincare products.
Helen and her husband Mark have been involved with the Kiwifruit and Avocado industry and noticed that a lot of fruit is wasted. Hellen saw an opportunity to use the unwanted, ugly looking fruit to create a skincare range with ingredients sourced from local orchards and forests in New Zealand. Yet the products are blended using the very latest formulations in the world.
Hellen came to New Zealand from China in 2002 as a international student, fell in love with her husband Mark, and promptly moved to the Bay permanently. With a love for green and pure nature, our beautiful land, amazing scenery, quality farming products and access to natural cosmetic ingredients; it was no surprise that Hellen set up a business which resonates what she believes New Zealand is all about.
“I set up the business initially as I felt there were’t enough good quality brands on the market that represent nature and its natural skincare ingredients. I felt that my natural skincare could easily become famous as anything from France, especially when we have all the wonderful plants, flowers and fruits available right here in the Bay of Plenty.”
In September 2016, HZP+Co® was formed initially in the orchard shed. At the same time, Hellen was lucky to find great support and growth for her business by working with Stacey Fraser, Jacqui Spragg and Lee Muir to help take her products to the market.
Stacy had spent over 10 years creating award-winning products for a leading NZ natural skincare brand. Jacqui’s role was to design the brand packaging, print and online material. Lee brought knowledge of quality control and manages all customer relations and distribution.
